Daniel Meets His Soul Mate
Once upon a time, in the quiet town of Willowbrook, there lived a man named Daniel. He was a kind-hearted, older gentleman who had spent his entire life devoted to his faith. He had always found solace in the pages of the Bible, and he often dreamed of what it would be like to walk in the footsteps of his favorite biblical characters.
One fateful evening, as Daniel sat in his cozy living room, he was reading in 2 Corinthians 12:3, “I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of it I do not know, but God knows”, he reflected on it for a few moments then a brilliant flash of light engulfed him. Suddenly, he found himself transported back in time, 3000 years into the past. It was a bewildering experience, and he couldn’t believe his eyes.
As he looked around, he realized he was in the heart of ancient Jerusalem. The city was bustling with activity, and people dressed in robes and sandals hurried through the narrow streets. Daniel’s heart raced as he realized that he was in the very place and time that he had always read about in the Bible.
Over the next few days, Daniel explored the ancient city and marveled at the historical events taking place before his eyes. He witnessed the construction of Solomon’s Temple, heard the wisdom of King Solomon himself, and even had the privilege of dining with the prophet Elijah. Each encounter filled his heart with awe and wonder.
But amidst all the incredible experiences, there was one that would change Daniel’s life forever. One sunny afternoon, as he sat by a well, he saw a young woman approaching with a water jar on her shoulder. She was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, and her name was Rebekah.
As they struck up a conversation, Daniel discovered that Rebekah possessed a deep and abiding faith, much like his own. They talked about their love for God, their favorite Bible stories, and their hopes and dreams. Over time, their bond grew stronger, and Daniel realized that he had found not only the love of his life but also a kindred spirit who shared his passion for faith and history.
But there was a twist to Daniel’s time-traveling adventure. An angel appeared to him one night and explained that he had only 24 hours left in the past before he would be returned to his own time in 2024. The angel reminded Daniel that his purpose in the past was not only to witness history but also to find true love and spiritual fulfillment.
With a heavy heart, Daniel knew that he had to make the most of his remaining time with Rebekah. They shared precious moments together, praying, singing hymns, and exploring the ancient city. In a blinding flash of light, Daniel was transported back to the year 2024. He woke up in his living room, his heart heavy with the longing for Rebekah and the ancient world he had left behind. But he also carried with him a love and faith that had been deepened by his extraordinary adventure.
In a matter of 24 hours Daniel was on his knees begging God to give him another 24-hour chance into the past. Daniel pleated, “but God you don’t understand I have this deep love in my heart for Rebekah”. God said, “Daniel do you not know that I see what’s in your heart? Let me remind you of my words from Psalm 139: 3-4 I perceive your thoughts from afar. I discern your going out and your lying down; I am familiar with all your ways”. Daniel sat back in his chair with his head hanging low. And muttered “of course Lord you know deep is my love for Rebekah”.
God said to Daniel, “you do believe I am the God who does not change?” Daniel said, “yes Lord you do not change”. Then God said, “do you realize if I let you go back in time, that could change the course of history that is already establish? I know the love Rebekah has in her heart for you however you are not the chosen man I have for her to fulfill my eternal plan and purpose, Issac is. Do you realize the effect it would have on the coming Old Testament from that time forward”?
Daniel was quiet and he began to see how selfish he was, putting his desires first instead of the God he loved. Daniel repented of his sin and the Lord God forgave him and told Daniel “My grace is made sufficient for you, now rise and go forth and live what remains of your life”.
From that day forward, Daniel’s life was forever changed. He became a storyteller, sharing his incredible journey through time with anyone who would listen. He shared the love story of a lifetime, a romance that had transcended the boundaries of time and connected two souls through their unwavering faith.
